Tiffany Johnson
Kindergarten Teacher
I am thrilled and feel blessed beyond measure to be a part of the Buckner Fanning School at Mission Springs community. I am originally from 60 miles west of Chicago, IL. My husband of 17 years and our twin girls moved to San Antonio 11 years ago for my husband's job. As we miss our families and close friends up north, we love it here in SA. We have built a wonderful life with amazing friends that are like family.
After High School, I received a full athletic scholarship to play soccer at Tennessee Technological University my freshman year of college. I loved the game and what it brought to my life, but I missed my family back in Illinois so transferred back to Northern Illinois University and graduated with a degree in business and communications.
Prior to BFSMS, I taught special education in the North East Independent School District for the last 8 years. I was a K-5 Special Education teacher assistant at Cibolo Green Elementary School for 4 years before going back to school to get my alternative teaching certificate through Teachers of Tomorrow. After earning my teaching certification, I taught 9-12 Special Education at Reagan High School and was our PALS(Peer Assistant Leadership and Service) Sponsor for the last 4 years.
I am very excited to love, teach, and build a relationship with you and your Kindergarten students this school year and help your children reach their full potential. It is going to be so fun and amazing to watch them grow and learn through God and this wonderful community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
