Shirley Guzman

Hi, my name is Shirley Guzman.  I was born and raised here in San Antonio Tx.  I also lived in Germany for 2 years while my husband was stationed there with the U.S. Army.  We had an amazing time traveling through Europe.

I retired from Northeast ISD in 2022 after teaching 19 years  in grades ranging from kindergarten through second grade. I graduated from St. Mary’s University with a degree in sociology and a minor in psychology.

I have been married 39 years.  God blessed us with the love of our two incredible daughters.  Our youngest is going into her senior year at Texas State University. Go Bobcats! Our oldest is now an angel watching over us. We miss her dearly. We also have two very curious and adorable cats and one feisty but lovable dog.

My free time is spent with my family and friends.  We love to watch movies, play games, and travel. Cruising has also moved into the top of one of our favorite ways to travel.

This is my fourth year at Buckner Fanning and I absolutely love it here. I love teaching these little humans and will give them all the love and support they need.  This is an amazing school and I’m so glad you have chosen to join our Buckner Fanning family.
