Shirley Guzman

Hi, my name is Shirley Guzman.  I was born and raised here in San Antonio Tx.  I also lived in Germany for 2 years while my husband was stationed there with the U.S. Army.  We had an amazing time traveling through Europe.

I retired from Northeast ISD in 2022 after teaching 19 years  in grades ranging from kindergarten through second grade. I graduated from St. Mary’s University with a degree in sociology and a minor in psychology.

I have been married 40 years.  God blessed us with the love of our 2 incredible daughters.  Our youngest just graduated from Texas State University. Go Bobcats!

Our oldest grew her angel wings four years ago and is watching over us from heaven. We miss her dearly.

We also have 3 very curious and adorable cats and 1 feisty but lovable dog.

My free time is spent with my family and friends.  We love to watch movies, play games, and travel. Cruising has also moved into the top of one of our favorite ways to travel.

This is my fifth year at Buckner Fanning and I absolutely love it here.   I love teaching these little humans and will always be here to love and support them.  This is an amazing school and I’m so glad you chose to be a part of our Buckner Fanning family.
