Julio Ticas
Facility Manager
Hi, I’m Julio Ticas, and I’ve been proud to serve at Buckner Fanning School at Mission Springs for over 10 years. I’m originally from El Salvador, and in my time here, I’ve had the joy of doing a little bit of everything—from keeping our campus clean and safe to helping out wherever I’m needed.
One of the things I love most about my job is spending time with the children. I enjoy helping them practice their Spanish and watching their confidence grow. I also like to challenge the Chess Club students to a friendly game—sometimes they win, but I always make sure it’s a good match!
This school is like a second home to me. Whether I’m fixing something, lending a hand, or simply sharing a smile, I do my best to make each day a little brighter for our students and staff. It’s been a blessing to be part of this community for so many years.
My favorite Bible verse is Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” It reminds me that we all need grace, and that kindness and humility go a long way in serving others.
