Gisela Pla

Hello, my name is Gisela Pla. I am originally from Puerto Rico. I have been living in the U.S. (Florida & San Antonio) for about 18 years. I am happily married to my husband Carlos 25 years. We have 5 children of which I feel very proud. My son Carlos and my daughter Gaby are already graduated from UTSA, one in engineering and my daughter from education (bilingual teacher). Sergio, my third child and my fourth Monica attend UTSA as well. My fifth daughter, is my 16-year-old baby, and studies at Johnson High School.

During my free time I like to cook with my husband, listen to music, watch movies with my children and play my flute. I have a degree in Psychology and Sociology. After I graduated from collage I married and had my 5 children and so decided to stay home with them and enjoyed every minute of their lives. When they started school, I decided to begin working in the education field, specifically, in Pre-kinder and elementary education. I have been teaching for 10 years, first in North East with special education and then private school. Now I feel fortunate to be part of the Buckner Fanning family and I promise to give my best to your child’s education and provide the support that they need for their future.
